I have done considerable research on my ancestors from the SMITH, BACON, and GORDON Families who settled in Ontario between 1835 and 1847, and who settled in the Walkerton area in Bruce County in 1849 when the Durham Road was opened. These families later followed several migration waves in Canada and the US.  I have a private Yahoo Group containing the results of this research and would be pleased to provide access to anyone interested in these families.
